About Some Freak
Not just any old freak, this trained croupier has manned the tables in support of minimal gurus Dan Bell and Thomas Brinkmann following his move to Sydney from the Rainy City, Manchester. Makin’ waves with his own High-Jinks parties (recently hosting a roadblock Modeselektor show), Freak gets extra busy producing tracks to snuggle into his set of downtempo house, deep techno, firing dancehall and dubby landscapes. The ex-computer hacker met his groove after hearing a Moroder bassline in ’84 and these days bumps up to Sizzla and Tikiman. Everyone loves a freakshow, right? Here’s one not to be missed.
