I´ve just returned from a lovely trip to this years Red Bull Music Academy, held in Melbourne, Australia. You may ask: “What the hell is a Red Bull Music Academy?” Well, a two week long musical parallel universe made of milk and honey. A typical day at the academy starts at 11 in the morning with a nice breakfast, continues with lectures by Derrick May, Danny Wang, Carl McIntosh, Mike Paradinas etc. After studiotime under the guidance of Mark Pritchard, Wajeed, Todd Osbourne and Todd Simon everyone heads to some of the fabulous clubnights with concerts by participants, lecturers and team-members.
